Like most people, I began my working life in a career that may have paid my bills, however it made me extremely miserable. When I began working with animals initially I wasn’t sure if it would be something that could sustain my living expenses. However, it was something I felt strongly about wanting to do so I took the leap and made a huge career change. It was in this change that so many doors opened for me as far as finding fulfillment and reason and a purpose on a daily basis. There's something to be said about being able to bathe and clip the nails of a dog that shows signs of aggression whether it’s from fear or lack of training, when that animal allows you to physically touch them and be around them without any negative feedback, Something Happens inside of you. I felt like I had been initiated into a world of mystery. I felt special, and I felt understood. Perhaps I might even say we had an unspoken understanding of each other. That is an incredible feeling that I look forward to every day moving up here to this rural area and opening my shop here has been extremely exciting and gratifying. I look forward to learning and growing as a human being through my interactions that I have with these animals every day.
